  • Prerequisites: Honors Biology and Chemistry, Precalculus (previously or concurrent)

  • Suggested: A or B in Chemistry H & Algebra 2

  • Description: Provides students with the scientific principles, concepts and methodologies required to better understand the physical world. This course is designed to cover all topics covered in a typical introductory college algebra based physics course. This course is required for most college science majors.

  • Students will be required to take the AP Physics 1 Exam in the spring.

AP PHYSICS C: Mechanics (327520AW)

  • Prerequisites: Honors Biology and Chemistry

  • Recommended: Calculus AB or BC (concurrent)

  • Suggested: A or B in Honors Chemistry and PreCal.

  • Description: Provides students with the scientific principles, concepts and methodologies required to better understand the physical world. This course is designed to cover all topics covered in the first Physics course required for Engineers and Physics majors.

  • Students will be required to take the AP Physics 1 Exam in the spring.
