This course is offered every other year.

This is a college level course designed for students with exceptional ability and interest in history. It is a study of the development of modern Europe from 1450 to the present; focuses on the history of Western Civilization from the Renaissance to the present. The course is devoted to the political, economic, cultural, intellectual, and social evolution of western society and various responses to the changes. Extensive outside reading will be required.
