Prerequisite: Theatre 1 and teacher recommendation

This course is a continuation of Theatre 1 with an emphasis on refining acting skills using sensory awareness exercises, improvisation, pantomime, character development, and dancing/movement skills. The fundamentals of play production will be discussed, including costumes and make-up. A variety of scripts will be read, analyzed, and performed. The students will study the history of the theater, attend local theater productions, and learn the basic elements of stage construction and lighting. The class will perform a one-act play.
