Description: AP Biology is a college-level course that follows the scope and sequence of freshman biology at most universities. It provides students with the basic understanding of general biology needed to prepare them for more advanced biological classes at the college level. Students will perform a variety of investigative laboratory activities as a part of this course. All students are required to take the AP Biology exam in May. This will allow for the potential to earn college credit for the course. AP Biology is typically taken in the 11th or 12th grades.
